Oscar winning British actress Helen Mirren is to be honored with this year's European Achievement in World Cinema at the 25th European Film Award Ceremony in Malta. Mirren began her film career in the late 1960s, with Michael Powell's "Age of Consent", and established her reputation with the gangster movie The Long Good Friday.
